About this API
The open KRS API, run by Poland's Ministry of Justice, returns a full, current extract from the National Court Register — exactly the same data you'd see on a printed extract, just as JSON instead of a PDF. Personal data in the open version is anonymized.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an API key?
No, the "Open API" version (described here) needs no registration or key. A separate, full version ("Full API", with non-anonymized data) requires ministerial approval and login.
What data does this API return?
Legal form, PKD codes, share capital, registered address, the composition of the representing body, registration date and the date of the last entry — all from a KRS number.
Can this API be called directly from a browser?
Yes — the response includes a CORS header allowing calls from any domain, so it works straight from frontend code (hence the live "Try it" button above).
Who runs this API?
Poland's Ministry of Justice, via the Court Registers Portal. Full documentation is available at prs.ms.gov.pl/krs/openApi.
