Privacy Policy

otwarteAPI.pl does not collect personal data. Below is exactly how the site works and where requests actually go.

1. Data controller

The controller of otwarteAPI.pl is Bartosz Kuć (the same person who runs skanfirmy.pl), sole proprietorship, tax ID (NIP) 7393933151. Contact: firma@bartosza.pl.

2. What data we process

otwarteAPI.pl is a static catalog — there are no forms, accounts, or logins. The only "data" involved at all is the search query you type into the homepage search box, and that's filtered entirely locally, in your browser — it's never sent or stored anywhere.

3. How the live "Try it" buttons work

8 entries in the catalog have a live "Try it" button that runs a sample request directly from your browser to an official, external government or EU API (e.g. Poland's VAT White List, the NBP API, IMGW-PIB weather data) — exactly as if you'd opened that address yourself in a new tab. otwarteAPI.pl does not proxy or intercept that request: we don't see, capture, or store the request or the response it returns. That external API sees your IP address under the same terms as any direct visit to its own site would — that's outside our control and governed by that institution's own privacy policy, not ours.

4. Local storage

The accessibility bar (text size, contrast/yellow mode) remembers your choice only in your browser's localStorage. That's a UI preference, not personal data — it's never sent anywhere.

5. No tracking

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics, or advertising tools. We do not share any data with third parties.

6. Hosting

The site is hosted on Netlify. Beyond standard hosting-infrastructure logs (typical for any site on the internet), we keep no persistent database or visit log of our own.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available at this address.

Frequently asked questions
