Why this catalog exists
Polish and EU public institutions publish dozens of official, free APIs (VAT, KRS, GUS, NBP, ECB, Eurostat, EUR-Lex, and more), but there's no single, shared place to find them all — not for a person, and not for an AI agent. otwarteAPI.pl is an attempt to build that place: every entry links directly to the official source, no middleman, and is described in the ai-catalog.json format following the Agentic Resource Discovery (ARD) standard, so an agent can discover the catalog automatically, without reading the page like a person would.
How to submit a new API or a correction
The catalog's data is public on GitHub: github.com/bibi-bambi/otwarteapi-catalog. Found a dead link, an outdated field, or know an official Polish or EU API that's missing here? Open a pull request against ai-catalog.json, or file an issue if you'd rather just describe it. Accepted changes go live after manual review, not automatically.
Standards we follow
The ai-catalog.json manifest (ARD), llms.txt, schema.org structured data (DataCatalog/Dataset) on every page, and FAQ text kept identical to its FAQPage structured data — all so the same catalog can be discovered both by a search engine and by an AI agent, with no two different versions of the truth.
